Day 4, Wednesday

Woke up at 6.25am after snoozing for a while. The spa land open from 6am-9pm and I wanted to go when its really empty. I debated if I should go. The lazy scarry cat in me kept screaming NOOOOOOO!! but the diehard side insisted and I know I will regret if I didn't go it this time round. In the end, I heck it, change took my key card and went down to level 2 to buy the ticket.

Being a hotel guest, I was entitled to 50% discount so I paid 6, 000won for the bath and spa facilities. Went up to level 3 and exchange for a locker key and the clothes to be worn in the spa.

Firstly, shoes in the shoe locker then into the locker room where there are full of naked ajumas walking around like they are fully clothed. No comments. I stripped, lock my stuff in the locker and went into the bath area. There are rows of taps by the wall and a big pool divided into 3 sections in the middle of the bathing hall. I guess on a full house there can be as many as 100 ajumas using the facilities here. I made an effort to rinse my body, doing everything in an awkward manner, I cant even figure out how to turn on the tap! I didn't bring my body wash nor shampoo so its just water and I didn't take that piece of cloth to exfoliate my body cause it looks painful. I quickly jump into the pool where I do not feel or smell any minerals or whatnot so I reckon its just hot water. Anyway, the pool was divided into 3 parts according to the temperature, hot, hotter and hottest. Hot and hottest being the smaller area while hotter is in between them.

During the soak, I noticed ajumas going into 2 rooms. Ahhh. . Sauna! I went into 1 and I could smell Chinese herbs or korean herbs. By the time im done smoking myself, I went for another dip as there are significantly lesser people there. I could still smell the herbal scent when in the water. I am now herbally smoked!! Smells good thou. I rinse, walked back to the locker and change into my spa clothes. Hahahah. .

Super cool stuff!

Then head out to explore the communal spa facilities.

I found 2 ermmm stone huts.

One is red clay room..

One is charcoal room..

And they all have these bags hanging on the wall.

I lie down in the clay room using the provided wood pillow. Almost fell asleep...

When i had enough I went to the outdoor spa but im not sure of the dress code as there wasnt anyone there and the water is only starting to fill up...

I changed to my own clothes and went back to my room for another soak in my hottub. Hahahah. . To make my 110,000won more well spent. Then sat at the balcony to finish my chips while enjoying the snowcapped mountain landscape. If only there is a cup of hot Earl Grey...

I check out at 11am and the bus schedule shows that I have just missed the bus back to the city and the next bus will be in 40mins time.

A cab came along and I board it. Upon reaching the bus terminal I saw this stretch of cherry blossoms and I decided to book the later bus to Busan instead of the next bus. I left my bags in the locker again and walked there after buying my bus tickets.

The wind when crossing the river was a killer. It froze me and almost blew my cap away..

The grass is always greener on the other side

and yes, I will never get tired of cherry blossoms.

Walked back and went in for a quick lunch. Initially I only wanted a latte but upon walking in I realised its more a restaurant than a cafe so I just change my plans. And im glad I did!

I had my best meal here and its only 7, 000won.

The side dishes.

And the pork cutlet.

Even its tea is worth mentioning. It had a slight woody and pepperish smell but it taste like very light pleasant tea. Really an extremely satisfying meal.

After a 3hrs30mins busride, im back to Busan. Where it all started. I originally looked up some hostels and thought to stay in one at Centrum City but my aunty cane to visit (must be due to all the hot tub soaks) and I guess its better to have my own room. I went to a cafe logged into their wifi and search for surrounding accommodations. Found 9 hotel which is a 2mins walk from where I was and went there.

There were several reasons why I decided to stay at Sasang.
1. Its real close to Gimhae airport and I forsee that I will be carrying a lot of things on my last day.
2. When turning into the station, I saw 2 rows of cherry blossoms and yes, decision made.
3. Since my favourite number is 9, the near distance and the pretty pictures in the website, hotel chosen.
4. Human interaction is over-rated. Anyway I have my own imaginary friends.

The initial price given in booking.com was about 210, 000won for 3 nights and the staff at hotel 9 gave 150, 000won for 3 nights and a big smile and 'Can cheaper? ' bag me a deal of 130, 000won for 3 nights. He he he. . Awesomeness!

And also the light switch. Cool for lazy people.

Went out to my cherry blossoms road before the sun start to set and its another beautiful day for me.

Isnt this pretty? Like snow. .

And I walked for 3km to and back. Ipuda!

Went to the nearby mall and started buying some of the items on my shopping list. Yeah! Foreign currency is not money!
