I realised that despite however much planning I do I still will not follow. So I will learn to just follow my feelings.
Today, I woke up, repack my bag, cooked 2 hardboiled eggs, left a note for Hyunsoo and left for Gurye at 10am.

I thought the journey will take me 2-3hrs but it was only a 50mins busride. Since it was still early I thought I will walk to the Cherry Blossoms Road by Seomjingang River. I left my backpack at the lockers and with the map, started my stroll. It looked walkable in the city map but it turn out to be a 1hr walk in cold weather and strong winds. I was cold!!!!!!

Along the way.

Finally, someplace warm. It seems like a mini festival with karaoke, food stalls and selling local products like korean sweets, seaweeds, paste etc. I needed a rest and something warm and filling so I pointed to the seafood pancake more for convenient sake.

When I was done, I went on and within minutes I could feel the chill again. Regardless of that, I persist on and finally arrive at the famous road.

There are even some more on the opposite banks.

To be honest, being in Southern South Korea at this period, one can see these cherry blossoms almost everywhere. Along the roads, highways, here there everywhere. But I will never get tired of them, especially when there is a slight breeze and the flower petals slowly dance its way down. Such simple indescribable joy. =)
By the time I reach the end of the walkway I was coldcoldcold and on the lookout for a taxi to take back to the bus terminal but there was none to be seen until I reach the festival and grab 1.
The starting rate is krw 3000 which is way more than Busan and Seoul at krw2200 and Wando at krw2500. Reckon I was paying for the heater as well. While braving the cold I told myself that I will get a warm room and have a good soak ina nice hotel tonight.
From the bus terminal I need to take a 20mins bus to Jirisan hot spring area and once there I walk into the nearest big hotel, Jirisan Spaland hotel. The rate is krw110, 000 per night and I splurge on it. This could easily cover 3 nights in a hostel but I wanted to pamper my poor cold soul. .

Completely worth it!
I thought of getting a good hot soak first, then get an early dinner and dropping by the spaland at around 7pm where it should be less crowded. The nudity was what put me off since my last trip. I just was not ready. Yet.
I had my soak and went out to satisfy my cravings for chicken. I ordered and they delivere over while I walk back. The guy was pretty cute thou. Tall, lean, fair and friendly eyes. I dropped by the minimart and bought a magoli and a pack of chips. Something to munch on while waiting for my chicken, delivered by a cute guy.

I decided on a second soak in my tub before sleeping and set the alarm at 6am. Perhaps I will go to spaland then.
