I was down with flu the last wkend and spend more than 36hrs in bed. My temperature reach its all time high of 39.4 degree yest night. I shld have noe that things wasn't right when smiling became a chore. Guess i was overheated and overtired due to the foodhunt. Have to admit that i'm old.
Currently, thought my temp is back to normal but i still feel light headed. Maybe due to the medicine that cause drowsiness. Just hope that my brain had nt been burned.
Even though i'd been in bed for a long long time, but i didnt get any good rest at all. Thru out my sat night, i was dreaming of Suntec's 5 towers and the fountain of wealth. Talk bout 'ri you sou si, ye you sou mong.' Den it will be waking up drenched and hot. Den the next minute i will be hiding beneath my blankets, shivering. Horrible.
Need to go back to work tmr. Not looking forward to it. But have to.

My fourth wk at work..
Work this week can be considered to be good as compare to the previous three.. If i were to discribe the past few wks simply, i wld use three words. 'Major screw up.' Lets just leave it at that. And yes, i'm happy i'm still not fired.
This wk was good as i didnt go to work on monday and then i was able to leave early for the rest of the week except for tues. Yesterday, i was given a pair of movie tickets to catch the sneak preview for Pirates. It was a double first for me. 1stly, my first pair of FREE tickets. 2ndly, my frist sneak preview.
It had been such a long time since i caught a movie in Lido, i guess more than 1.5yrs and i simply forget about the commercial. Damn.. I was in the cinema before 7.30pm (time printed on the ticket) and the movie only started at 7.45pm. I went to the office complaining bout it this morning and they were ALL telling me that its the norm in sing to have 15 mins of advert. So that the late commers will not miss the show. What bullshit is that man. This can be one of the reason why i do not like to catch sneak preview. Another is because there is too much people around. It was almost full house. I do not see any empty seats but i shall not assume its a full house. I like watching movie in cinema where that are not much ppl around, so i do not have to care bout my posture. Most time back in Melb the only places will be those older cinema or noon time movies which is not a problem for me. I dun mind old cinema as long as i dun see any roaches or rats running under my chair. Anyway, since its a free movie, so, thou shall not complain.
This is my first pirates of the three. Meaning that i didnt watch the first two. But since its a FREE tick, so i went w a friend of mine who i know adore Johnny Depp. The movie was at time draggy, and at times lame but otherwise alrite. Not the best i'd seen but a different kind of movie that i normally watch. At time i was lost, but if i'm not lost, i wld not be able to travel to a place which is hard to reach. Anyway, its so-so.
Today, an exciting event happened. Actually two. One was aft lunch break when i was comfortably seating at my desk doing the filling as my colleugues went for a meeting. Suddenly the rest of the ppl in e office went to the window and kept looking out of it. Being free and noneedtobehave, i went to join in the fun, only to see a tornado out in the sea. It was surprisingly big to me. Kinda dissapointed as i do not have my camera w me. But well, no harm had been done and only just now did i realise that it was only a waterspout, not a tornado. cheyyyyy... BORING.. I went to yahoo.com.sg to find news article on it and i manage to find one. No picts thou. When i found out that it was just a waterspout, i went to wikipedia to look up the defn and how it is formed. Theres a few picts for those who are curious but i must say, the one i saw this afternoon is way bigger.
Ohh.. PYH just send me a link to channelnewsasia where there is an article+pictures.. Haha.. Great minds think alike.
The other interesting thing i saw was after dinner. I met Huixian for dinner today and aft Ajisan at Funan, as we were walking back to City Hall MRT we saw some lights at Padang (if i'm not wrong bout e place). We walked over and realised that it was the opening ceromony of Singapore Arts Festival. Yeahh!! So, what do we get at an opening ceromony? Fireworks of course. The fireworks display started less tha 10mins aft we reached. Talk bout perfect timing.
It was good. The fireworks i mean. But the one at Docklands are still the best. So near yet so far. They looks like they are crashing into you yet they goes out before you. Its hard to describe, only when you are there to experience it yourself den will you know. All the emotions running thru you.
'Will i die?'~'Wow.. its beautiful. No regrets dying.'~'Will i die?'~'Heck it lar..'~'Its coming nearer. Will i die?'~'Gorgeous!'~'Is it going to be a freak accident? Will i burst into flame?'~' Flowers in the night sky.'
Well, great day today. Can i be a Geography teacher? I like nature, i like looking at maps, i like reading bout the formation of rocks, cyclone, rainforest etc. Most importantly, i can go on oversea geo trip, say to Hawaii to explore the volcanoes and feel the quakes, or to Aussie for its dessert, Great Barrier Reef, coastline, wineries?!?? Haa..
MOE nv get back to me. I know i send in my transcript one week late. But well, It is going to be two weeks soon. Think they are going to basket my results as predicted. If only they will consider me.!! They dun noe what they are losing man...
Gonna go sleep. Nite.

Missing Melb..
Are the maple leaves red or brown now?
Have the fog come back?
Does the sun set behind safeway now?
Will i need to wear a scarf if i'm back there now?
Are the overhead heaters along Lygon in use now?
Will the leaves fall as i walk thru the park?
Are the roses along Albert St in bloom?
Miss having coffee while sitting at the South lawn.
Miss eating sushi during lunch break.
Miss having a supermarket right under my aptm.
Miss taking the tram down the straight Royal Parade road and watching the brown leaves falling onto the street.
Miss seeing the sunsets.
If only wishes come true.

A midsummer's night.
looking forward to a night of heavy downpour, roaring thunder and striking lightning.
Can you smell the scent of the coming storm?
I can. And i LUV it.

Remembering....
It had been a while since i pick up a book and read like there's no tmr. I had always enjoy reading since young. From Enid Blyton to Singapore ghost story to Sweet valley to novels.
The last time i could really enjoy a book was when i went to Cairns. When i said 'enjoy', i really devour every single page. Its not that the book is that fantastic but more on the enjoyment i gotten on how i was reading the book.
I would took my book and went to a quiet little cafe for breakfast. Flipping pages while savouring my eggs benedict. After an hour or so, i would stroll to the beach and enjoy the sea breeze. Find a shady bench when i'm tired and continue on my book. When my eyelids felt heavy, i wld close my book and take a nap, on that bench.
Thats my way of enjoying my book and my hols. Alone.
Doing things my way, the way i want it to be.
I do not like the idea of having someone tagging along waiting for me to make decisions. When asked upon their choices, they will give answers like 'Anything you want lor. I'm fine with everything.' While knowing that deep down inside their hearts, they are screaming a loud 'NO!' If only humans can be less complicated and expect less guessing from others. Because its fucking tiring having to think beyond the words.
Just say what you want and if i'm fine with it, i will go your way. If i'm not, i will meet you after that and carry on our journey.
Thats me, and the way i like things to go. I like alone-time a lot. Very very much.

Drinking.
For the past few weeks, i had been drinking.
Sometimes, just a cocktail to chill and relax.
Sometimes, a beer or two while chating with friends.
Sometimes, vodka or martel while playing 5, 10, 15.
Last night, my friends frm cg asked me to go drinking and of course its an offer not to be missed. We went all the way to Sentosa, Siloso beach's Cafe delma for a drink. There's a car, thats why. I like the place lots because of its comfy setting and those beds under the stars. Its beautiful. Just that the beach-bed is kinda sandy and wet. But i wld love going there again.
Just that, i dun really enjoy the music. I still miss my 'If'.

Little things i learn bout myself w each passing day..
1. Theres a difference between richly stressed and poorly stressed. When i was studying, i was richly stressed hence the increase in weight. Now, i'm poorly stressed.
2. Since last Sept when i found out that Max Brenner had changed their chocolate cheesecake, i'd lost one all time comfort food. But last week, i re-found my long lost craving. NYDC's Return of the 2x chocolate cheesecake. Its that good and that perfect for being my comfort food.
3. Ever since the last visit to Mount Faber's Jewel Box, i crave to hear the live 'band' sing IF. Because, simply because, i think that the male singer sing it better than the version i have.
4. Now that i'd started working, i realised that i would rather choose a home cook meal and a warm house to a rich life alone.
5. Now that i'd started working, i understand why people always say that its sweet of the bf/gf to be waiting for them after work. Because, on somedays, i would like the idea of having someone waiting for me too.
Feeling lonely. Now.

Night at the Phantom..
Just came back from watching Phantom of the Opera. Got a hard time getting a cab so i took a train to khatib and my dad came pick me up. I learned something tonight.
Sing's public transport is way more efficient than driving. Say that i'm ungrateful for all you want, but seriously, when all you want is to get home asap, take a shower and rest, you will understand my comment.
Phantom was not too bad. My first musical in Esplanade though. But i always thought it will be grander in the theater. I like the starting, it was nice. Not all the cast were good though. I wonder if they really sing all those songs every single night. Won't they get bored? It's a nice experience and the seats we got are not too bad either. All thanks to ET. We bought the tixs since March so it was really good.
Its nice to dress up once in a while and attend a play or a musical and its nice seeing people dressing up too. Its a kinda manner and respect for the performers i would think.
I wonder what musical is coming up next...

Those were the days...
Do you still remember the times where we would take long bus rides from places to places, chatting about anything under the skies, from the recent news to the latest gossips?
Now, all we do is sit in complete silence as you drove me home. Sometimes listening to the mindless chatting on the radio, sometimes you just concentrate on your driving while i stare out of the window.
Those were one of the days that i miss the most..
